Description
These booms are designed to contain and absorb hydrocarbon spills including oil or oil-based liquids such as engine oil, hydraulic oil, petrol, diesel, kerosene, and the like. These marine booms are hydrophobic, meaning they will absorb hydrocarbons, but will not absorb water, making them the ideal solution for outdoor environments and around waterways, such as lakes, streams, bays, and the open ocean. They are used to contain and absorb spills which may occur from generators, earth moving equipment being used near water, boats, barges, and dredges. Marine booms will continue to float even after full absorption of hydrocarbons.
Marine booms can be joined together with their strong hooks and clips to form a longer barrier if required. They can be quickly and easily connected in the event of a spill emergency. They also contain an internal rope between the clips for added strength when joined with other marine booms.
